I was in Washington DC on Memorial Day 2 years ago. We also visited Arlington Cemetery which was so awesome on that particular day.Yvonne.

One of the local TV stations ran the list of soldiers from Oregon who had lost their lives in service to our country during the current war. Too many young lives lost. It is good to remember their sacrafice.

Thank you is saying one thing to those that have fallen, but also looking after those that return by providing them with decent homes, jobs, health care - whether physical and/or mental etc is showing our gratitude for what they have done for us.
